The Prison SMART Programme started in USA in 1992 and now operates in many countries. More than 200,000 participants worldwide  have completed the course. In Europe the program is launched in Poland, Kosovo, Bulgaria, Serbia, UK, Lithuania, Belorussia, Croatia, Norway, Sweden, Russia, Germany, to name a few. Outside Europe please read here. 
Denmark: Focussing on the youth, and functioning in tandem, the Art of Living’s Non-Aggression Program (NAP), and Prison Program have achieved remarkable success, in Denmark. We work with juvenile offenders, juvenile ex-offenders, juvenile drug addicts, and socially troubled juveniles. The nation’s judicial system recognizes the effectiveness of the courses, and instead of sending juvenile offenders to prison, courts now order them to undergo the Prison (Juvenile) Program, further information.

Our Mission
The mission of the Programme is to sponsor and facilitate a unique stress management and rehabilitative training programme and to deliver it to inmates, residents of halfway houses, and those on parole and probation, at-risk youth, victims of crime, law enforcement officers and probation staff.

The Prison Smart Program is based on awakening values that are inherent in each of us but have been covered by layers of stress, which leads to negative emotions, resulting in violent reactions if not dealt with at an early stage.

For every emotion, there is a corresponding and unique rhythm in the breath, which is scientifically proven to affect our body chemistry. By attending to the breath we can not only control our emotions, but eliminate toxins that have built up in our body through suppressed emotions such as anger, guilt and frustration. By eliminating pent up emotions and excess toxins, we are able to deal with life in a much calmer and lighter manner.
